TAYLOR PINI BAVBS (HONS), PHD

Principal Investigator

Taylor is a lecturer in veterinary reproduction in the vet school at UQ. Taylor holds a Bachelors in Animal & Veterinary Bioscience (Hons) and a PhD from The University of Sydney. She completed postdocs at The Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine (USA) and The Charles Perkins Centre at The University of Sydney.


Taylor is an active member of multiple scientific socities, including the Society for Reproductive Biology (SRB), the Society for the Study of Reproduction (SRR) and Reproductive Health Australia (RHA). Having worked across both humans and animals, as well as in molecular and applied reproduction, Taylor brings a unique mix of skills to tackle exciting questions in reproductive biology.


She is passionate about creating fundamental change in STEM to support women. Taylor also hosts and produces the podcast Repro Radio.

ARGUS - THE UNIVERSITY OF SYDNEY

Prof Simon de Graaf, Dr Jessica Rickard

Taylor completed her PhD with the ARGUS lab and has since kept close ties with the both Simon and Jess. Our work includes molecular alterations of sperm induced by seminal plasma exposure and the response of the female reproductive tract to sperm and seminal plasma in sheep.
